7 Wcked Vrtues

These days, wearing your heart on your sleeve becomes so overrated. Ask the geniuses behind 7 Wcked Vrtues, as they encourage us to think outside the box and wear our sins on our chests. And with great artwork too! SoJones met up 7 Wcked Vrtues again at MAGIC and we absolutely love what we saw: well-composed artwork implemented in quality material clothing. Each t-shirt represents one of the 7 deadly sins, and there’s also the virtue of each sin on the back of the tees.
Usually we’d put some points containing highlights of what we like from a label’s collection, but since we decide we love them all, let’s just talk pictures and here are our picks for you, SoJones readers. All t-shirts available at 7WckedVrtues.com from $36 up to $52.

J!NX Spring/Summer 2011: Softer But Stronger
Posted in Blog, Featured, Updates by mrjellybeanz | Tags: mr jelly beanz, mrjellybeanz
The last time we talked to the guys behind J!NX Clothing, we knew they’ll be upto something great for their next collection, and let’s just say that we’re right. Still holding on to their ‘geek chic’ ideals, J!NX presented some really cool clothing pieces back at the MAGIC Trade Show. This time J!NX mellows down with softer and calmer colors, and the tone of the whole look is just… über masculine, which we LOVE.
And as you know, J!NX also has been repped by some of the biggest names in television. Here’s Wil Wheaton and Zachary Levy, looking great in some of J!NX clothing’s best:

Things to look out for in the current collection of J!NX:
- Pastel-colored hoodies, to prove that real men CAN wear pastels.
- Military-look wovens made with chambray materials to keep things cool and comfy
- Soft basic striped t-shirt, the basic look with a non-basic feel!
And here are our favorite new stuff from the newest collection of J!NX:

J!NX War Machine Jacket

Tasty Clothing From Delicious Vinyl
Posted in Blog, Featured, Updates by mrjellybeanz | Tags: mr jelly beanz, mrjellybeanz
Started in 1987, Delicious Vinyl took off as a record label, championing artists from the streets and soon enough became part of hip hop history. Matt Dike & Michael Ross produced hit singles “Wild Thing” and “Funky Cold Medina”, and their catchy tunes propelled the producer duo to the top of the charts in the late eighties.
So what happens to vinyl after the death of CD? It stays on and became the new classic. And that’s the exact vibe you’ll get from Delicious Vinyl’s clothing collection. Here are the stuff you have to look out for this season:
- Delicious Vinyl classic logo shirt
- Retro-look from “Bust a Move” logo on a sheer raglan, nice for the ladies!
The collection can be purchased via their official website DeliciousVinyl.com and the price points are very reasonable, ranging from $20 up to $40. Here are our favorites:

Akademiks Fall 2010: Swiss Alps Coolness
Posted in Blog, Featured, Updates by mrjellybeanz | Tags: mr jelly beanz, mrjellybeanz
This fall, Akademiks decided to go to France and takes the inspiration from the Swiss Alps wear. SoJones visited their booth back in MAGIC 2010 and found the cool lineup, dominated with red and green, corresponding to the upcoming Holiday season.
Akademiks is known for its trendy urban streetwear since 1999 and SoJones is loving the brand. With their motto: “Denim is King”, Akademiks reached out to the masses and got its momentum when Brooklyn rapper, Fabolous, included the brand in one of his songs in his debut album: “Ghetto Fabolous”.
Don’t miss what Akademiks has in store for you this season. Their ski-related French Alps-inspired designs included stylish fall gear as follows:
- Moncler-inspired parachute vest to protect you from the cold
- Novelty lightweight jackets and cardigans, perfect to go through the transitional season, preppy style
- As for back-to-school items, get a strong orange/black feel, welcoming the golden fall
- Of course all the color combos will go perfectly with Akademiks’ denim lineup!
Here are some of our favorites from Akademiks’ newest delivery at DrJays:

Akademiks City Slicker Jacket, $105

Akademiks Confederate Track Jacket, was $78, now $61.99

Akademiks Doc Repair Jeans, $58
Episode #123
Posted in Blog, Updates by mrjellybeanz | Tags: mr jelly beanz, mrjellybeanz Back with another one, we discussed everything from Ines Sainz to JMacks neighbors stealing his prescription pain killers to white people using the N-Word. Yes that argument again, with a twist. Also, we finally got a chance to catch up with Playboy Tre to talk about his album Last Call, what it was like to perform on Eminem and Jay-Zs home to home tour, and his take on Kat Stacks.Sponsors
